Since 2015, the CPS has been working using a matrix structure according to a number fields of study. These are areas of work around which the CPS works. In this way, the CPS no longer limits itself to purely police-related problems and issues, but focuses on the broad security sphere. The aim is to appeal to a wider public.
Each field of study is piloted by two people: an academic and someone from the field. For each field of study, a working group is composed with experts from inside and outside the CPS. Not all members of the workgroup are involved in all activities. This is done on the basis of their expertise and interest in the activity in question.
Each field of study is responsible for at least one activity per year. Fields of study can also work out activities together. For this purpose, a workgroup is set up with people from both fields of study.
